Pikes Peak Visitor Center, located 14,000 ft above Colorado Springs, CO, is Colorado's first and the nation's highest building pursuing Living Building Challenge standard. This project focuses on regeneration: generating electricity and collecting water. In addition, it uses non-harmful materials and incorporates biophilic elements to create a unique experience for visitors. The building integrates with the local environment, taking only what it needs and leaving the site better than before.
